Trail of DREAMs on Arpaio Meeting


Campus Progress was in Phoenix, AZ for the week leading up to a major march against Arizona's SB 1070 on May 29th. The Trail of DREAMs, a group of four students who walked from Miami to DC to urge the President to stop the deportation of students and the separation of families, announced that they would attempt a meeting with anti-immigrant Sheriff Joe Arpaio. A few days later, at the festival of Human rights--organized to welcome the thousands that came from around the country to protest SB1070 the following day--we caught up with two of the walkers and talked about their plans.
