Young voters must come out strong
The article about Pennsylvania brings up an interesting point: That even if the young voters come out en masse, voters 65 and older are in disproportionate areas of the country. Unfortunately our system is I think flawed, in that a candidate can become president without having a majority of the popular vote. It seems backwards. Nevertheless, young voters MUST show up in fierce numbers to overcome the seniority vote, because they will show up strongly, as they have every election year.
older states
Yeah, certain states just have older populations. It's not as bad as in the primaries, where dispersion of older people diluted the influence of younger people in the race for district level delegates - the electoral college is winner take all at the state level. But the ration of young to old in battleground states is going to be a factor.
That's another reason we need outside groups. We need people contacting and messaging to them now about the importance of registering in their home/school state depending on whether or not it will be a battleground.
Veterans
Check out the veterans link -- I find that story particularly ridiculous.
