Youth Vote 2008 Map - About The Future, Not Credit

I wanted to say one more quick thing about the 2008 Youth Vote Map. This isn't about claiming credit. As I said in a post yesterday, you can slice and dice the electorate any number of ways to say that one demographic or another pushed a candidate over the top.

What this map shows is the potential for Democratic state parties to engage the youth vote in their work year round, up and down the ballot. It's about planning ahead for future elections and keeping young people engaged in politics, not about claiming credit for Obama's victory on Tuesday.
