Youth to Power

The book is finally complete. Just a few "i"s to be dotted and "t"s crossed as I do one final run through, then it goes into manuscript form and galleys soon after that, whereupon it will be sent to reviewers, bloggers, youth activists and anyone else that might be interested and help drum up support for it.

We'll also be putting up a specific web page for it here on the site in the coming weeks, but it's already available on Amazon. This is all pre-order, the physical book will be unavailable until late February/early March.

Overall, it was a draining and amazing process. I learned an incredible amount about youth organizing on the progressive side in the last year. I think it turned our really well. There's a lot packed in there, and while there could always be more (and I'm sure people will find things to quibble about), I think it's going to be a valuable resource in getting the progressive movement up to speed on what's been happening in youth organizing in the last 5 years.

Thanks to everyone who agreed to be interviewed, and thanks to those (you know who you are) who responded to my frantic emails and phone calls, particularly in the last two months. And thanks to all the readers here on the blog. Future Majority has been a sounding board for a lot of ideas that are in the book, and thanks to you all for contributing your ideas and opinions.

All of this is also to say that I'm back. I took the weekend off to recharge, and Now I'm dedicating myself to the blog and the election full-time for the next 13 months.
