About Me

Kai Stinchcombe is the executive director of the Roosevelt Institution. He attended Colorado College as an undergraduate, majoring in History and Math. He is a PhD student in Political Science at Stanford but after finishing quals in spring 2005 took a two-year leave to found the Roosevelt Institution. He is returning in the fall to write a thesis on the California political process.

While a student he led a successful campus living wage campaign at Colorado College and was president of the Stanford Democrats, a columnist for the Stanford Daily, and the editor of the Stanford Progressive. Stinchcombe is on Central Committee of the California Democratic Party and has consulted for several Silicon Valley nonprofits.
